Leon Arthur Loewen, a native of Pensacola, FL and longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL, died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the age of 75. He was a retired Purchasing Agent for International Paper Company and a US Navy veteran. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Judith Delores Smith Loewen. His survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Deanne Loewen (Raymond) Hicks; two grandchildren, Ellis Austin Hicks and Amberly Ray Hicks; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Bob Barr, will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:30 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
