Leonard Frank Page, age 68 years, passed into the arms of his Loving God on March 23, 2019 at the Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
Leonard, from Upstate New York, wintered in Mobile Alabama where he enjoyed the sun and friendship of those around him.
Leonard was born on January 11, 1951 to his parents, Leonard R. and Hazel (Perry) Page. He grew up in the Massena Center area of Northern New York. He obtained his education at Henninger High School in Syracuse, NY and was actively involved in sports at Henninger High School and St. Lawrence Center School in Brasher Falls, New York.
Surviving are his Sons, Ronald Kilgore of Stockholm, NY; Brian Kilgore, Pascagoula, Mississippi; Leonard Page III, Mobile, Alabama. A sister, Sunny (Louis Sr.) Gifune, Theresa, NY and a Brother, John Page, Massena, NY
Leonard was pre-deceased by his wife, Irene (Sullinger) Page and a Son, Leonard R. Page II and his parents, Leonard R. and Hazel (Perry) Page.
While growing up in the Massena Center/ Winthrop area of New York Leonard worked on the family farm. After moving to the Syracuse area he worked in the manufacturing fields and then was involved in the therapy fields in Utica, NY and Florida. He also worked as a Physical Councilor in New York, Florida and Nevada in the Insurance Industry. He retired while in Florida in the mid 1990's.
Leonard was very active assisting with the spiritual needs of the Christ United Methodist Church in Mobile, Alabama and was a member of the church. In his later year Leonard found his peace while in New York at the Chapel of the Pine in Theresa, New York.
Leonard will be cremated and his ashes returned to New York where a joint service will be conducted at the Chapel of the Pine with his wife, Irene (Sullinger) Page who pre-deceased him with the Hon. Roger K. Duvall officiating. Together they will be interred beside their son at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Massena, New York.
