Leopoldo Rodriguez, III

February 27, 1956 — December 23, 2024

Leopoldo Rodriguez, III, 68, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on December 23, 2024. Leo was born on February 27, 1956, to Leopoldo and Victoria Rodriguez.

Leo was an avid fisherman and hunter in his younger days before his disablement. Being from Texas, he loved the outdoors. He served in the army and loved his country. He loved his family and missed not being able to travel to visit.

Leo had a very logistical mind. He had 2 Master degrees in business and loved working before his early retirement. He had various careers after the military and traveled extensively. He moved to Alabama later in life to be closer to his children Jacob and Liza.

Even though he was restricted in life to his wheelchair he was a significant force in our lives. He will be missed by all and touched many during his long illness.

But for now he is happy again with his new body and seeing family and friends in heaven.

Leo is preceded in death by his brother, George Rodriguez (Chicago, IL).

Leo is survived by his wife, Debby Rodriguez; children, Sue Ellen Chavararria, Leo Rodriguez, IV, Fito Esparza, Jacob Rodriguez, Liza Rodriguez; stepchildren, Jennifer Murphy (Eric), Daphne Cravey (Danny), Trey Powell (Jessica), Tyler Powell (Staci), Taylor Powell (Miranda); parents, Leopoldo Rodriguez, Jr. (Karen) of Eagle Pass, TX, Victoria Rodriguez (Dallas, TX); brother, Juan Rodriguez (Betsy) of Dallas, TX; sister, Yvonne Morales (Jerry) of Dallas, TX, sister-in-law, Gracie Rodriguez of Dallas, TX, along with 6 grandchildren, and a host of step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
