Leslie D. Anderson, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed from death into life eternal on May 9, 2018 at the age of 80. Mr. Anderson was born on September 5, 1937, and graduated from Murphy High School. He retired from Penco Products, Inc. as Southern District Sales Manager. He later became owner and President of ACS Marketing and retired once more in 2011. Mr. Anderson was a faithful volunteer at Providence Hospital for 9 years and also loved gardening, especially roses. One of his favorite pastimes was woodworking, and he enjoyed making gifts for his grandchildren. He loved our Lord Jesus Christ and was very active for a long time in the prayer ministry at his church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Armena Carley Anderson; his son, David Patrick Anderson; and his sisters, Thelma Anderson Murray and Catherine Anderson Murray. His survivors include his wife of 53 years, Bessie H. Anderson; his children, Stephanie Anderson (Richard) Sheppard, Steven Carley (Elaine) Anderson, and Edwin Leslie (Meytal) Anderson; grandchildren, Andy, Claire Elizabeth, Sarah Grace and Alden Sheppard; Daelyn, Layla, Brady, and Sophie Anderson; his brothers, Robert (Roberta) Anderson and Carley (Carolyn) Anderson; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Kindred Hospice, Honey Bees Senior Care, Tori Jackson, James Ivey and Lillie Mickles for the loving and compassionate care given during Mr. Anderson's illness. Our family will be forever grateful. Mr. Anderson's Celebration Service will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2018 from Luke 4:18 Fellowship on Sollie Road. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the church. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
