Lillian M. Ardis
May 17, 1927-April 28, 2018
Lillian M. Ardis, 90, a longtime resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed from this life Saturday evening April 28, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Ardis, her sister Francis Lowe, and her brother Daniel E. Davis Jr. She is survived by her brothers Bob Davis (Ginger) and Frank Davis, children Dwight Ardis (Mary), Donna Clanton, Sandra Tomlin, grandchildren Ben Ardis (Nadia), Reggie Ardis (Lauren), Jamie Shobe (Mark), Hunter Clanton (Robyn), great grandchildren Kimberly Presson, Phoenix Ardis, Devon Ardis, Emerson Shobe, Kadynce Clanton, Aubrey Clanton, Vivienne Shobe and her newest great grandchild Theodore Clanton. Lillian was affectionately called Gran by all her family. In her younger years her friends gave her the nickname Tige, short for Tiger. Gran dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They had a special place in her heart and knew she would always have candy to share. She was an avid Alabama Football fan, country music fan and late in life she loved an occasional trip to the casino. She was an awesome cook and made some of the best homemade fried chicken, coconut cr&egraveme pies and her children looked forward to their homemade tiered birthday cakes. She taught her family how to make homemade fudge and a fruitcake that everyone loved. Gran had many pets in her life and loved them all. Gran will be laid to rest Wednesday May 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM in Mobile Memorial Gardens in a graveside service. Pallbearers will be Emerson Shobe, Devon Ardis, Mark Shobe, Larry Vandergrift, Reggie Ardis and Dwight Ardis. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Gran's favorite charity. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com.
