Lillian Croy

Lillian “Maurine” Croy, better known as Memaw, went home to be with the Lord at the age of 90 on February 6, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama.  She was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Tillman’s Corner and served faithfully in the nursery for over 25 years.  Maurine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Maurine was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Croy.

Maurine is survived by two daughters, Marie (Robert) Atchison of Birmingham, Tricia (Bill) Benton of Mobile; one sister, Dot Chandler of Selma; five grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Atchison of Birmingham, Kelly (Mike) Durbin of Mobile, Brian Atchison of Birmingham, Kasey (Mikey) Cochran of Semmes, and Krissy (Stacey) Hipp of Mobile; Twelve great-grandchildren, Aniston, Ava Croy, and Ambree Cochran, Kylie and Jade Jones, Kyle and Max Hipp all of Mobile, Teri Kate, Robbie, and Jenna Atchison of Birmingham, Bailey and Branson Atchison of Tuscaloosa.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to her devoted friend and caregiver, Becky Hurt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11 A.M. until 12 Noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a service immediately following in the chapel. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
