Lillian Allene Cook Shell, a native of Flomaton, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James Lloyd Shell; her son, Edward V. Shell; her parents, Allen Lavene Cook and Lillian Elois Cohron Cook; and her sister, Judith Ann Cook Lane. Mrs. Shell is survived by her children, James Allen (Monica) Shell, Belinda Shell (Derek) Robinson, Regina Shell (Fred) Anderson, Howard H. (Cathy) Shell and Harold P. (Carol) Shell; one sister, Peggy Cook Robinson; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Dr. Greg Pouncey, will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, January 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
