Linda Petty

Linda Marie (Nicholas) Petty, a native of Toulminville and resident of Mobile County, passed away at the age of 75 on July 14, 2024.

Linda was a devoted wife and mother. She graduated from Davidson High School. She retired in 2008 and was employed by the City and County of Mobile as well as U.S.A. Hospital. She loved dancing and was a volunteer line dancing instructor.

She is survived by her loving husband John Petty; sons Joe Newell (Marion), Matt Newell of Baltimore, MD; daughter Connie Shellehamer (Hans) of Auburn, AL; and nine grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday July 19,2024 at 11am followed by funeral service at 12pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Monsignor Kee of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be William (Bubba) Mead, Matt Newell, Joe Newell, Brant Stewart, Charlie Bowen, Hans Shellehamer. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Hay, Aaron Payne, Al Caraglino, Angelo Dania.

Burial will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Garden of Gethsemane.
