On Monday August 26, 2024, Lisa Lynette Simison, beloved sister and aunt, passed away at the age of 57. Lisa was born on August 22, 1967, in Mobile, Al. to Neal and Rebecca Simison, who preceded her in death. Lisa devoted her entire life to caring for others.After graduating from Theodore High School in 1986, Lisa started her career at USA Medical Center while she worked in the lab and attended nursing school. She was a dedicated registered nurse and worked the night shift for over 20 years, until her retirement in 2011. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she served on the parish council and volunteered as a youth minister, until she was unable to continue due to health issues. She had a great love for her Catholic faith, Atlanta Braves baseball, Alabama football, history, and genealogy research, which she worked on tirelessly. She was very passionate about her family and devoted everything she could to her sister and nieces and nephew. Lisa had a beautiful, contagious smile and was loved by everyone that knew her. She was affectionately known as Lele to her nieces, nephew, and their friends. She is survived by her sister Krista Simison Bryars, her nephew Tyler Simison Bryars, and her nieces Sarah Alyse Bryars, Blakely Rebecca Bryars, and Jenna Layne Bryars. She also leaves behind numerous family members and lifelong friends that she considered her family. Visitation will be held on Saturday September 21, 2024 in the Parish Hall of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 9 AM with a funeral Mass following at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in honor of Lisa.
