Lola Belle (Holder) McLeod, known to many as Jodie, passed away after a short battle with cancer, on February 29, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. A native of Frisco City and longtime resident of Mobile, Al.
Lola was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her passion was her family and taking care of others. Cooking was one of her many joys, her chicken salad is famous (Nanner’s chicken salad).
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtis Holder, her husband James McLeod, infant daughter Kimberly Denise Creech, two brothers, Carlton Holder and Monroe Holder.
Lola is survived by her children, Donna (Mike) Oaks, Kenneth (Lisa) Creech, Elizabeth Roshea Alford. Six grandchildren Gregory, Zachary, Kristine, Shelby, Connor and Savannah. One sister Louise McKenna, six brothers Ed Holder, Braxton (Doris) Holder, O’Neal (Rebecca) Holder, Truman (Mae) Holder, Carl (Shirley) Holder, Keith (Brenda) Holder.
Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home to be followed by funeral service at 2pm in the Mobile Memorial Gardens Chapel. Rev.
