Lorea Weiss

Lorea Adams Weiss passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on November 21, 2023 at the age of 95. She was a native of the New Harmony community in Walton County, FL where she attended Paxton High School. In the late 1940s she moved to Mobile, AL where she pursued a career in civil service for Brookley Air Force Base. After retiring from Brookley, she went on to work for the Mobile County Personnel Board until the mid 1980s. A few of Lorea's favorite things in life were cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Throughout her life she was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family and friends meant everything to her.

Lorea was preceded in death by her parents, William Monroe and Eva Mae Adams; husband, Harry A. Weiss; brother, Winford D. Adams; and nephew, Dewey D. Adams. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy W. Wilson(Bob); stepson, Tony Meinhardt(Tina); grandson, Robert A. Wilson(Heather); granddaughter, Melissa W. Parent(Dan); great-granddaughters Kendall and Rowan Wilson; sister-in-law, Barbara Adams; and nephew, Darrell W. Adams(Marilynn).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation is at 11:00am, followed by a memorial service at 12:00pm.
