Lucille Smith

The family of Lucille M. Smith regretfully announce the passing of their beloved mother "Dootsy" on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Providence Hospital. Dootsy passed away peacefully surrounded by her children. Dootsy was a native of Meadville, PA and a lifetime resident of the Springhill area of Mobile, AL. She attended Villa Maria in Montreal, Quebec and attended Springhill College. Dootsy was the loving daughter of Charles Joseph Miller, founder of Mobile Memorial Gardens, and devoted wife to her husband James Martin Smith III. She is survived by her three sons James Martin Smith IV of Augusta, GA; Charles Miller Smith of Bon Secour, AL; David Lee Smith of Gulf Shores, AL; and her daughter Marie Smith Lacy of Mobile, AL. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 12:00 PM with private committal services in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
