Lynda Cameron

Lynda Faye Cameron, Age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Mrs. Cameron was a lifelong resident of Mobile. She is preceded in death by her parents Rutledge and Doris Flowers and her brother Rutledge "Bubba" Flowers. She is survived by her husband of 58 years Ernest "Buddy" Cameron. Her children Lee (Vicky) Cameron, Denise (Paul) Blanchard, Dale (Renee) Cameron, and Darrell (Tiffany) Cameron. Her sisters, Jeanette (David) Miller and Gayle (Troy) Cochran. Grandchildren, Colby, Madison, Corrine, Cameron, Grace, and Isabella, and great-grandchildren Shane and Fletcher. Her dearest friend Nancy Kelley, and her angel baby we all cherish, Audrey.
Mrs. Cameron retired from JCPenney after 29 years of service. She was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church and a previous member of Tillmans Corner First Baptist and Dawes Baptist Church.
She loved going to the mountains with her husband, friends, and family. The special time of year she enjoyed most was Christmas. She enjoyed cooking for her family and special shopping excursions with her friend Nancy. She cherished being with her family and friends. She also loved watching Atlanta Braves baseball and watching her favorite player Freddie Freeman. One trait she had was how immaculate her home was, each and every day. Everything and we mean "everything" was in order and in the right place.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, from 5PM until 7PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Woodridge Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 5th, at 12 Noon. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Woodridge Baptist Church is located at 2700 Schillinger Rd S in Mobile. Interment will be in Pine Crest West Cemetery.
