LYNDA RUTH DAVIS, age 72, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Lynda was born on April 22, 1944 in Mobile, AL to the late Pheland Ray Davis and Ruby Grace Goodwin Davis. Lynda worked as an educator for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was an avid traveler and traveled all over the world. She especially enjoyed Mardi Gras and going to the beach. She was a member of Spring Hill Avenue United Methodist Church. Her survivors include her sons, Patrick Searcy and wife, Amy, of Bethel, NC and Kyle Searcy and wife, Yvonne, of El Paso, TX; daughter, Kyra Isengard and husband, Fred, of Sanford, NC; sisters, Corliss Meadows of Mobile, AL and Barbara Ann Bronold and husband, Paul, of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Alysha Wallace and husband, Corey; Davis Searcy, Damien Valdez, Sarah Searcy, Elijah Isengard, Izabella Searcy and Isaiah Isengard; and great-grandchildren, Amiya Wallace and Josiah Wallace. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
