Mrs. Lynn Brister (nee Raby) passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. She was born in Shelbyville, TN, but was a long time resident of Mobile, AL. She was a precious, compassionate mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all she came in contact with. She wasn't one to have to look for the good in people, because she never saw the bad. Her infectious laugh was always the life of the party. The only Alabama fan to actually pull for both sides, whoever had the ball; she just wanted to see a touchdown. Roll Tide! Over the last couple of years, she enjoyed fellowship at both the Fairhope and Semmes campuses of 3Circle Church and now worships in the presence of the Lord. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank D. Raby and Juanita Smith Raby; her brother John Michael Raby; her grandchildren, Lacye Rae Botts and Scott Wood; and nephews, Chuck Raby and Happy Pierce. Survived by her dedicated husband, Dean Brister; and children, Jennifer Fincher (Jerry) Wilson of Mobile, AL, Tom (Irina) Fincher III of Point Clear, AL, Ben (Debbie) Fincher of Rockhill, SC, and Josh (fiancée Tavy) Layton of San Francisco, CA. Grandchildren, Shayna (Sam) Hollowell, Jordan (John) Canterbury, Jeremy Wilson, Austin (Chuck) Myers, Thomas A. Fincher, Allison Fincher, Jimmy Fincher, Melissa Noyola (fiancee to Scott Wood), Todd (Nicole) Fincher, Josh (fiancée Charlotte) Wood. Great-grandchildren, EmmyLace Hollowell, Wilson Canterbury, Wylie and Abigail Myers, Lillyona and Brysten Fincher and newly-welcomed great-grandchildren, Alex Fleming, Vann Sturdivant and Noah Sturdivant; Siblings, Gary (Georgia) Raby, Dryden Raby, Juanita Cheryl (Rudy) Williams, Mona (Paul) Waite, Brenda (Ronnie) Pierce, Teresa Williams, and several precious nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved dearly.
