Margaret Etta (Morris) Kirby, 89 years old, was called home on May 31, 2022. Margaret was born on November 16, 1932, to Wendell and Fannie Mozell Morris in Samburg, Tennessee. She was the eldest of Wendell and Fannie's six children. She married Harold Eugene Kirby and had three children, subsequently moving to Mobile, Alabama, for the remainder of her years. Margaret was a lifelong member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Theodore and was a strong woman of faith. She was a humble servant who served the community in numerous ways, namely with Spring Valley Kennels. She loved well and was well-loved as she became "Gran" to many. Margaret was a great story-teller and loved sharing her childhood memories of growing up around Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee.
Margaret was preceded in death by her brother, JW at 18 months; husband, Gene Kirby; daughter, Lisa Jean (Gene) Gibson; and sister Susan Swindle. Her memories will be cherished by her surviving family; sister, Rebecca Skinner of Tennessee; brother, Elvis (Pat) Morris of Mississippi; brother, Randy (Gail) Morris of Tennessee, daughter Jan Leytham of Daphne, Alabama; son, Jeff Kirby of Mobile, Alabama; grandson, Wesley (Rae) Leytham; granddaughter, Sara Leytham (Derek) Welch; grandson, Brandon (Ashley) Kirby; grandson, Ian Gibson; great-grandchildren Avery Leytham, Dylan Welch, Maggie Leytham, Saylor Leytham, Alex Welch, and Emily Kirby. Margaret is also survived by her childhood and lifelong dear friend, Martha Lou (Bobby) Crocker, many nieces and nephews, and those who loved her dearly.

She will be interred at Mobile Memorial Gardens following a graveside service on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 2:00pm.
