Marion Norton

Marion Norton, Jr. was born on October 12, 1948, in Butler, Alabama, and passed away July 3, 2021, in Mobile, Alabama. Preceded in death by his parents. Marion Norton and Lennie Morgan; and one son Patrick Allen Norton. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret Miller Norton; three daughters, Dana (Allen) O'Shea, Traci (Ben) Seale, and Teri (John) Seitz; five grandchildren, Gavin Seale, Ethan O'Shea, Hayden Seale, Avery Seitz, and Emily O'Shea.
He was a long-time member of Christ United Methodist Church and had retired from Scott Paper CO./Kimberly Clark in 2004, after 34 years. He was a Vietnam veteran and active in his local DAV chapter. Jr. was fun loving and never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face. The things that he enjoyed most were his faith, family, and his friends. He loved playing golf and watching Alabama football and the New York Yankees. He was a devoted husband and father and loved his grandchildren more than anything.

Pallbearers are Drew Miller, Zac Miller, Josh Deaton, Glen Norton, Kyle Williams, and Mike Viera. Honorary pallbearers are Pat O'Shea, Gerald Holloway, Allen O'Shea, Ben Seale, and John Seitz.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with funeral services starting at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
