Marlys Snyder

Marlys Ann Krueger Snyder, a native of Hawkeye, Divide County, ND, and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the age of 89. She was a graduate of the University of Nebraska; was a registered nurse and retired from Mobile Infirmary Hospital after over 30 years of service. Marlys was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church; loved to fish with her best friend, Faye; enjoyed traveling; gardening; collecting grocery coupons for the troops; and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Snyder; her parents, Albert Krueger and Gunhilde B. Throntveit Krueger; her brother, Lavern Snyder and two sisters, Janice Krueger Johnson and Doreen Krueger Kunamen. Her survivors include three sons, Paul (Debbie) Snyder, David (Sherry) Snyder and Martin M. Snyder; two brothers, Keith (Judy) Krueger and Earl (Angie) Krueger; one sister, Donna Jean Krueger (Bob) Geschwender; four grandsons, Tony Battaglia, David (Annette) Snyder, Robert (Tiliena) Snyder and Nathan Snyder; four great-grandchildren, Jessa Snyder, Ryleigh Snyder, Ryker Snyder and Conor Snyder; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Fruitdale Cemetery in Fruitdale, AL at 2:30 PM.
