Obituary - Marshall Paul Koehler (February 16, 1927 - June 3, 2015)
Marshall Paul Koehler was born on February 16, 1927 to Erwin A. Koehler and Gertrude Bayless Koehler in Detroit, MI. As a child Marshall's family moved to Elberta, AL where his father was a farmer and owned a general store. Marshall went to school in Baldwin County and graduated from Foley High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Germany during World War II. After leaving the Army he became a salesman for various companies in Baldwin - Mobile area before settling in Mobile in 1965 as a realtor with Gandy Agency and Roberts Brothers Real Estate.
Marshall is survived by his wife of 49 years Sarah Galloway Koehler; Brother, Paul Koehler and Sister, Elizabeth Somer; children John Koehler (Sarah) , Columbus, MS, Danny Goff (Jamie), Birmingham, AL Michael Goff (Mary), Mobile, AL, Jeanie Kay Baker (Tom), Baltimore, MD; grandchildren Jennifer Koehler Thomas (Bert), Columbus, Ms, Susan Koehler Aveline (Rick), Greensboro, NC, Crystal Goff Taylor (Adam), Watertown, NY, Katie Goff Garday (Austin), Glendale, AZ, Connor Goff, Mobile, AL; Great Grandchildren, Savannah Thomas, Aden Thomas, John Aveline, Madeline Aveline, Gabriel Aveline and Carson Taylor.
Marshall and Sarah are members of Christ United Methodist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. Marshall enjoyed fishing, travelling, square dancing, coaching youth basketball, friends and his family.
On June 3, 2015, Marshall left to meet the Lord while at home under the loving care of his dear wife Sarah as he wished.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 12:00 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, preceded by visitation at 11 am.
