Martha Pennington

Martha Joan Pennington, nee Hannah, passed peacefully on August 27, 2015 in Mobile, AL. Born November 29, 1939 in Greenville, MS and long-time resident of Mobile, she spread the love she knew with all she encountered. She is survived by her beloved children Alisa Secrest (Larry), Dr. Michael Pennington (Kim), Carolyn Tierce (Doug) and Chris Pennington (Danielle), her cherished grandchildren Will, Ellis and Bennett Archuleta, Sarah and Lauren Pennington, Carson and John Collier Tierce, Austin and Matthew Pennington; sister Jean Lott, nieces, nephews and many loved ones from the community she served through her adult life. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Ethel Hannah; sisters Ethelene Hannah,Susan Waldrop and infant brother. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Little Sisters of the Poor. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church in Mobile, after a private graveside service.
