Marvin Skipper, Sr.

Marvin Franklin Skipper, Sr., a native of Wilmer, AL and longtime resident of the Mobile, AL area, went to be with the Lord and his family on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Mr. Skipper was formerly employed by Meador Warehousing and was a member of the local Teamsters Union for 28 years. He is survived by his children, Charlotte Skipper (Johnny) McConnell, Marvin F. "Bubba" (Margaret) Skipper, Jr., Richard "Ricky" (Jennifer) Skipper, Brenda Skipper (Michael) McDonald and Marcus "Mark" (Kim) Skipper; his sister, Lillie Skipper Dees; nine grandchildren, Johnnie Marie, Jeffrey, Tracy, Justin, Patrice, Marisa, Chris, Suzanne and Shawn; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, May 3, 2015 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
