Mary Bentley

BENTLEY
Mary Patricia Bentley, age 87, a native of Arkansas and a long-time resident of Mobile, passed away Sunday October 8, 2017 in Mobile. As the spouse of a Coast Guard Veteran, Mr. James R. Bentley, they were stationed in many different places in the United States but considered Mobile home. Patricia was an active member in her community and volunteered for many years at Little Flower School and other organizations within Little Flower Church. She invested most of her time in taking care of others and her family. Her hobbies consisted of ceramics, crocheting and cooking. She was very well known for her cooking and baking. Mrs. Bentley was the bravest of women, an incredible wife and a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Bentley is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James Robert Bentley, sisters Adlene Cassady, Gloria Mahfouz, and her brother Faze Mahfouz.
She is survived by her daughters Gloria Bentley Kohrumel, Angela Bentley Kollmann (Victor Kollmann), her six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, all of whom she was so proud of and loved dearly, her sisters (twin) Catherine Mahfouz Boyd and Margaret Mahfouz Hurd, and all of her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Little Flower Church Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10:00am. Mass will follow at 11:00am. Burial in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
