Mary Louise Hudson Etheredge, "the Old Woman by the Tracks", was born March 9, 1921 and went Home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2015. At 94 years of age, she was the eldest member of Wilmer First Baptist Church. Her favorite scripture passages were Psalm 46 and Psalm 23. She was preceded in death by her husband, George "Buck" Etheredge; a granddaughter, Heather; and three brothers, Stu, Clyde and Willie "Peck" Hudson. She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Griffin) Ford and Judy (Larry) Silcox; her sister, Laura (Bill) Zay; a sister-in-law, Helen Hudson; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other family members and many friends. The visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Sunday evening, June 21, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Terry Glasscock, will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a gift be made in Mrs. Etheredge's name to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home (designated for the Mobile, AL campus), P.
