Mary Nell Rachel, age 84, of Mobile, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her home. She retired from Lindy's Clothing Store and loved playing the slots. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newburn "Ray" Rachel; grandson, Stephen A. McDonald; and parents, Arch Smith and Dorothy Eddins. Survivors include her daughter, Anita McDonald; son, Wayne (Sally) Rachel; step-son, Jim Struck; grandchild, Tiffany (Matt) Schaffer; great-grandchild, Maci Andrews McDonald; dear dear friend, Barbara Robinson; and dedicated pet, Elvis. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Chaplain Shawn Mizelle officiating.
