Mary Tolbert

Mary Evelyn Tolbert age 95 died Sunday April 24 at her home in Mobile, AL she was born in Hickory, MS to Joe Lee Peavy and Annie Lorene Jones. She graduated from Rush Hospital School of Nursing with her R.N. in 1945. She was a beautiful and elegant lady that spent her life caring for others selflessly, devoting her life to serving God and loving her husband and children with all of her being. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband A.V. "Jack" Tolbert of 55 years and her son Alan V. Tolbert.
She is survived by her two daughters: Evelyn Renee Buck and Carole Elise Lang; her two sisters, one brother, her seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
A celebration of life will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Thursday April 28, 2022, at 12:00. Visitation with friends and family will be at 11:00.
