Matthew Ryan Curtis, lifetime resident of Mobile, passed away suddenly at the age of 30. He is preceded by his maternal grandfather, Rheo M. Campbell, and his paternal grandparents, William and Grace Curtis, all of Luverne, Alabama. Matt was a graduate of Davidson High School and the University of South Alabama. He was an avid hunter, talented musician and artist, a loving person and child of God. He is survived by his parents, Daniel P. and Melissa Campbell Curtis, sister Amanda S. Curtis, niece Belle Strahan, nephew Ocean Jones, brother Michael P (Chasity) Curtis of Birmingham, niece Nora Curtis, grandmother Madeline W. Campbell of Luverne, Alabama, and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and two faithful Jack Russells. In high school he lettered in football and baseball and in college he participated in ROTC and club football. Visitation will be held Monday April 20, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will held on Tuesday, April 21 at 10 a.m.at the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with internment immediately following in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
