Mattisen Marie Woods, a native of Fort Wayne, IN and current resident of Theodore, AL, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at the age of 11. She is survived by her mother, Amanda Marie Covert Woods; father, James William Woods; brother, Osten Nathanyal Woods; grandmother, Tamara Marie Vogan; and great-grandparents, Richard and Esther Vogan; other relatives and friends. Mattisen enjoyed spending time with her family, going on vacations to the beach, and taking trips to McDonalds for French fries. She was a student at Augusta Evans School and the highlight of her day was to ride the school bus back and forth to school. In her quiet time, Mattisen enjoyed watching endless reruns of Peppa Pig and Caiilou. Mattisen was full of enthusiasm and wonder of all things new. Although her words were few, she had a sparkle in her eyes that said it all. We will miss her dearly, our precious Angel. The family will receive friends Friday, February 24, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
