Mrs. Mavis L. Werneth, also known as "Ms Hilton"' age 91. A native of Mobile, AL, died on March 6, 2016 in Crystal River, FL. She was a member of Semmes First Baptist Church and the owner/operator of the "Hilton Motel" on Government Blvd. in Mobile from 1957 to 1980. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilton E. Werneth, Sr., and her daughter Patricia Ann Werneth. She is survived by her children, Hilton Eugene (Dinah) Werneth, Jr., Beth (Milton) Hendry, Becky Werneth, Pamela Myrick and Robert Werneth; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers include: Roger Werneth, Byron Saucer, Thomas Wiley "TW" Wilkerson, II, Hilton Grant Saucer, Joe Lott, Tige Morris and Melvin Robertson. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Visitation from noon until 2 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by funeral services with Brother Fred Wolfe in chapel at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Hospice, P.O.Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
