M.E. "Mack" McKelvaine
Mack McKelvaine was a devoted husband for 73 years. His greatest joys were being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a U. S Veteran as he served his country during the Korean War 1951-1953.
Mr. McKelvaine was affectionately called "Mr. Mack" by his costumers throughout his 42 years of being a Shell Oil service station owner and operator here in Mobile.
He was a devoted Christian and found great enjoyment in watching Westerns, World War II movies and college football, "War Eagle."
A man of very humble beginnings he with his wife Connie through their faith in the Lord, created a life with a family full of love and kindness and wonderful friendships that have lasted a lifetime. He often said, "treat others how you want to be treated and you will always come out on the right side of things."
Mr. McKelvaine is preceded in death by his wife Connie McKelvaine, his daughter, Donna McKelvaine Williams, and his son Michael E. McKelvaine.
Survived by his daughter Susan Stanfield Slater (Joseph), grandson Robert Andrew Williams,( Lauren), and granddaughter, LeighAnne Williams Bush, (Daniel), great granddaughter, Peyton Williams, and great grandsons, Trey Bush, and Jack Bush.
It is and always will be a most generous blessing and privilege to have called this man daddy, Paw Paw, and friend.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
