Michael "Cowboy" Collins Sr., 52, passed away on Sunday, April 14,2024 doing something he loved. Cowboy was born in Germany on April 28, 1971 and moved to Theodore, AL which would then be his hometown. Since his early 20's Cowboy could be found at Mobile International Speedway where his passion for fast cars and motorcycles all started. Cowboy loved fishing, boat rides, bon fires, mud riding, and spending time with friends and family, but most importantly drinking a cold beer and looking good doing it. Cowboy had a way of being the life of the party. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and 18 wheeler driver for 20 years. Not too bad for a man that's 18 with 34 years experience. Cowboy was passionate and fearless about everything he did. He genuinely loved his family and friends while wearing many hats for many people.
"You don't have to go fast if you look good." Michael "Cowboy" Collins Sr.
Cowboy is survived by his three children. One daughter Rachel Ciaccio (Kenny) of Theodore; two sons Brandon Collins (Chloe) of Grand Bay; Michael Collins Jr. (Hannah) of Theodore, AL; four grandchildren Carson, Rayna, Hannah, and a new grand baby expected in August; father Roy Gunn of North Carolina; one brother Christopher Finn (Amanda) of Theodore, AL; two sisters Teresa Gunn of North Carolina, Ashley Finn Bruhl (Wayne Carter) of Florence, MS; maternal grandmother Joan Williamson of Theodore, AL; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; many cousins; and countless friends. Cowboy was a legend who will be sorely missed.
