Michael "Mike" Wayne Welch, a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 56. He was a grocery store director for over 30 years; enjoyed golf, sports, boating; his canine companions, Tank, Jack and Dingo; and spending quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Welch and Mary Sims Welch. His survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Smith Welch; two daughters, Lauren Welch and Lily Welch; sisters, Lynn Welch North, Lisa Welch Haines and Janet Nelson Eubanks; one brother, Mark Welch; sister-in-law, Darlene Lain; niece, Blair Lain; other relatives and friends. Funeral services Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mike's name be made to Friends of the Mobile Area
