Mrs. Mildred Stokes Crabtree went to her heavenly home on January 18, 2020 at the age of 93. She was born, the youngest of nine children to Earl J. Stokes and Ada Goyne Stokes on March 31st 1926 in Rayville, La. She graduated with honors from Holly Ridge High School in 1943 where she was the Homecoming Queen. Durring WWII she recloated to Mobile Al and worked as a teletype operator for Western Union. On June 27th 1950 she married the love of her life Edward C. Crabtree of Mobile, Al. She was a long time membner of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. She was full of life and enjoyed being with family and friends. Some of her favorite things to do were, gardening, entertaining, listening to music, dancing, fishing and most of all shopping. Mildred is survived by her children Eddy Crabtree (Melissa) of Bay Minette, Al and Marla Clark. Grandchildren Matthew Clark (Robyn); Kimberly Cain (Chuck); Kyle Clark (Callie); Troy Clark; Katherine Anne Priddy (Darek). Great grandchildren Landon & Rivers Cain, Layla & Maddy Priddy and Jordan Wally. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Edward C. Crabtree, her parents, syblings, numerous other family members and friends. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd at Mobile Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and service will be held in the chapel at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
