Mildred Sutton

Mildred Virginia Knowles Sutton, known to those close to her as "Ginny" passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 90. Her journey began in Tallassee, Alabama on January 3, 1928 but Ginny did not stay in that small southern town for long. After meeting George Sutton at the age of 17, George and Ginny had the privilege of traveling and living around the world as members of the US Air force. She was an avid golfer, bowler and all around athlete. Most of all she loved her family and friends, and she found happiness and joy laughing and spending time with the people closest to her. Ginny is preceded in death by her husband George Wayne Sutton Sr. and both of her children, Pamela Sutton Tarpy and George Wayne Sutton Jr. She is survived by her granddaughters Rebecca Louise Tarpy and Rainey Virginia Tarpy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mobilefuneralservice.com. Arrangements are by Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
