Monelle Iris Todd McCoy Harrison, 89, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Grand Bay, AL.  Monelle was born in Ludowici, GA to Eugene Alton Todd and Pearlie Mae Bland Todd on February 1, 1930. She was a child of God, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother extraordinaire, aunt and friend.   Most described her as being a true “southern lady”.  She was given the gift of hospitality and knew how to use it well.  Monelle was loving, kind, tender, wise, gracious and strong.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, William “Bill” McCoy and Bennett V. Harrison; her sister, Ardith Durrence; her brother, Durelle Todd; and one niece and several nephews.  Her survivors include her daughter, Terry (Mike) Stokes; sister, Bonnie T. Hill; granddaughters, Rachel Monelle (Jeremy) Fisher, Sarah Elizabeth (Troy) Clevenger and Kaitlyn Mae (Kenny) Ladnier; three great-grandchilden; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.  Funeral services and celebration of life will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning beginning at 9:00 AM.  Graveside services and committal will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in Jones Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Ludowici, GA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Harrison’s name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P. O.  Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.  Condolences may be offered at www.mobilememorialfunerals.com.
