Mordaunt "Mort" Mahoney, a longtime resident of Mobile, died on Thursday. He was a retired Comptroller with the City of Mobile. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Mahoney; two children, Michelle M. Lancaster and Matthew Mahoney; three step-children, Wanda C. Walters, Cynthia C. Simmons and Anita C. Nelson and other relatives. Funeral services will be held from Mobile memorial Gardens on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 12 noon. Visitation will start at 10 am. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
