CAMERON
Mar. 4, 1940-Apr. 3, 2018
Nancy Pearl Peacock Cameron, a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Mobile AL since 1967, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. Born in 1940, the youngest of ten children, she was the daughter of the late Aquilla Judson Peacock and Pearlie Bell Crosby Peacock. She is survived by her husband of nearly 59 years, George Walter Cameron; son, Rick Cameron; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and John Reed, all of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Natasha Taylor of Gatlinburg, TN, Shawn Anderson and Rebekha Friedrich, both of Mobile, AL; great-grandchildren, Hunter Weaver of Stapleton, AL, Mason and Gabriel Taylor of Gatlinburg, TN, Luke and Victoria Friedrich of Mobile, AL; brothers, L.A. (Jean) Peacock and B.B. (Doris) Peacock, all of Richton, MS; numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was a member of Gulf Hills Baptist Church and attended Wilmer First Baptist Church over the past few years. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, she was always our pillar of strength and guidance through life's journey. Her passion for life was only surpassed by her love of God, family and the ones so affectionately called "the girls". Her love of gardening and flowers here on earth was only in preparation for the glorious bounty of beauty she has planned for heaven's vast gardens. ~"She was our north, our south, our east and west; our working week and Sunday rest; our morning wake, our evening stroll, our noon, our midnight, our talk, our soul".~ W.H. Auden.
The family wishes to thank Dr. B. Heller and staff of Southern Cancer Center, Mobile Infirmary, her guardian angel, Erica, and everyone at Springhill Home Health & Hospice for her loving care. Wellness Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, #260, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
