Nellie Smith

Nellie B. Smith, age 88, passed away on November 14, 2023, in Mobile, AL.

Ms. Smith resided in the Loxley area for most of her lifetime and worked for the Army Aviation Credit Union for 42 years. She was also a devoted, lifelong member of Loxley Church of God.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford V. Smith and her son, James "Jimmy" Smith.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Clifford L. Smith, Darlene Smith (James) Lain, and Elizabeth Smith Welch; grandchildren, Amanda Lewis, Brett Smith, Lauren Luker, Lily Singletary, and Blair Lain; great-grandchildren, Carson, Reed, Camille, Ren, Jude, Caroline, and Violet; other relatives and many friends.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, November 20, 2023, with visitation from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
