Nettie Trawick, 96, a native of Lucedale MS, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at home in Acworth, GA. Nettie lived in Honolulu, HI for 53 years and was a Secretary for a nursing home and a secretary in the Mobile, AL shipyard during WWII. She would volunteer at her children's elementary school as a Nurse Assistant. But for most of those years she did her favorite job of being a homemaker. She was an avid canner and seamstress for her children. She loved to crochet, knit and loved to paint. Nettie was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Elton Trawick. She was also preceded by her parents, Benjamin Bertist Rouse and Mary Elizabeth Rouse, also her 5 brothers, Coleman Rouse, Fletcher Rouse, Jack Rouse, Lamar Rouse and Audren Rouse and her 4 sisters, Della Ditsworth, Lottie Howell, Lilly Scarbrough and Kit Moffet, and one grandson Michael Allen Jenkins. Her survivors include her 5 daughters, Theresa Jenkins of Parker, CO, Barbara (Edwin) Hasebe of Camano Island, WA, Esther Davenport of Acworth, GA, Sylvia (Francis) Montee of Hartly, DE and Naomi (Tim) Rouse of Semmes, AL; 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and many other relatives. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday at 1:00 p.m. until the service time. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
