Nina Weekley

Mrs. Nina Faye Doherty Weekley of Theodore, AL, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loved ones. Nina Faye was born November 1, 1936. She was a native of Waynesboro, MS, and a longtime resident of Theodore, AL. In Theodore, Nina Faye taught school and daycare at Magnolia Springs Christian School and attended Magnolia Springs Baptist Church for many years. With every child Nina Faye encountered, she had a positive influence on their life. She treated each child as if they were her own. At the time of her passing, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church, where she attended with her husband.
Nina Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Clyde Doherty, and Lee Arthur Giles Doherty; a stepmother, Beatrice Boyd Doherty; three brothers - Marshall Doherty, Ray Doherty, and infant son of Clyde and Lee Arthur Doherty. Nina Faye and Ray Doherty were twins.
Nina Faye is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Howard Weekley; one daughter, Lee Ann Woodruff (Jeff); two granddaughters, Michaela Townsend (Scottie) and Savannah Courtney (Joseph); one great-grandchild, Isabella Grace Townsend. Additionally, she is survived by one brother, Robbi Doherty (Louise); one sister, Phyllis Ramsay; nieces, nephews, and bonus granddaughters, Karsen Mosley, Payton Adams, and Emily Butler, who loved Nina Faye as their own grandmother.
The funeral services are October 10, 2022, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, with Chapel Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
