Nita Mae Smith, age 93, a native of Birmingham, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, left this loving world on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Nita Mae was an active member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Luster Smith, and her son, William Terry Smith. She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher William Smith and Elizabeth Paige Smith; great-grandchildren, Landon William Smith and Ayden Burton Gardner; her sisters, Janice (Berney "Buzz") Foster of Birmingham, AL and Carol Jacobs of Birmingham, AL; and niece, Judy Long of Birmingham, AL. Nita Mae will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
