Noah Levert "Lucky" Faggard, Jr. 90, a lifelong resident of the Mobile, AL area and who resided in Coden, AL, died November 4, 2017. He was born February 20, 1927 in Mobile, AL, the oldest of 5 children. He married Jean Jones in Lucedale, MS on January 13, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah L. Faggard, Sr. and Gertrude Ann Johnson Faggard. He is survived by the love of his life, Jean Jones Faggard, his devoted wife of almost 70 years; brother, Eddie (Elaine) Faggard of Coker Creek, TN; sisters, Betty Ingle of Mobile, AL, Pat (David) Burkhalter and Doris (Al) Szameit of Texas; his children, Shelia (Wendell) Kennedy, Noah Douglas (Roberta) Faggard, both of Sweetwater, TN, Rebecca (Chris) Walling of Gautier, MS, Mark (Tena) Faggard of Coden, AL and Shauna (Scott) Crenshaw of Axis, AL; his grandchildren, Lisa (Tom) Tran, Shawn (Elizabeth) Kennedy, Karragan (Anna) Faggard, Jeffery (Regina) Faggard, Charisse (Todd) Smith, Andrew (Meagan) Faggard, John Faggard, Noah Faggard, Micah (Joey) McKibben, Abby (Preston) Sasser; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Ellis, Vera and Quinn Kennedy, Douglas and Michael Faggard, Allie and Carlee Smith, Davey Robinson; many other family members and friends. Mr. Faggard was a veteran of WWII. After having enlisted in the U.S. Navy, he served in the South Pacific as part of the 140th Naval Construction Battalion. After the war, he worked throughout most of his career as a mechanic, many of those years in places such as Robert's Texaco, Grady Buick, and finally as the Shop Foreman at Maryvale Shops with the Mobile County School System. Mr. Faggard was a former member of Bagdad, FL United Methodist Church and attended Zirlott Road United Methodist Church for a number of years after his move back to south Mobile County. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday November 10, 2017 at 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, November 9, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
