IN LOVING MEMORY
NOLAN MATTHEW DIARD
JUNE 4, 2015 - JULY 1, 2016
Our sweet baby boy, Nolan Matthew Diard went home to be with Lord July 1st 2016, following a lifelong illness. Nolan's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle eyes could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard.
Although Nolan's illness made him appear frail, he possessed unbelievable strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed sitting in the sunshine and sleeping late. He loved his stuffed animal especially his stuffed bunny rabbit. He loved going to his big brothers baseball games and his favorite thing was sweet kisses on the lips.
With Nolan's passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. We will miss our sweet baby everyday and he will forever remain in our hearts. Through his teaching about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be his parents.
Nolan leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support to enhance his quality of life. We want to thank the doctors and staff of USA Womens and Childrens Hospital PICU and the NDRD of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC for their incredible care provided to Nolan and the entire family; and a very special thanks to Dr. Adiar pediatrician, and her staff at Children's Medical Group in Mobile.
Nolan is survived by his loving parents, Matthew and Lesley Diard of Mobile, AL; big brother Mattox Diard; paternal grandparent Pamela Diard-Burson; special grandfather, John Burson of Mobile, AL; paternal grandparents, Emory and Faye Aycock of Chinquapin, NC; (paternal) great-grandmother, Judy Cox of Fairhope, AL; Aunts and Uncle on Diard side, Ricky and Melissa Pugh, Monica Diard; Aunt and Uncle on Aycock side Ginger Aycock and Kelly Aycock; and numerous great-aunts, great uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends who love baby Nolan very much.
