Nona Vione Smith, a resident of the Tanner Williams Community, Mobile, AL, died Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Alfred Smith and Emma Annie Doyle Smith; her husband, Cecil Smith; four brothers, Claude, Douglas, Arthur and Houston Smith; and an infant sister. Her survivors include her son, Cecil Edward "Eddie" Smith; her daughter, Paula Smith (Paul) Edmondson; five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Donald Williamson, will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from Tanner Williams Holiness Church. The family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in Joyner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Mrs. Smith's name be made to Mobile Nursing & Rehab, 720 Bruns Drive, Mobile, AL 36695.
