Norman D. Kriner,Sr., born in Chambersburg, PA but a long time resident of Mobile, AL passed away on Monday at the age of 77. He is a military veteran of the Army, having served a 3 ½ year tour of duty in Germany, 6 months of those as a prison guard at Spandel which housed Hitler's German officers accused of war crimes; afterwards, he chose the National Guard as a career and retired in 1995. He is a lifetime member of VFW post 49. Norman also had a passion for Mardi Gras and was a charter member of the Conde Cavaliers carnival organization. He is survived by three children, Danny(Lori), David(Melanie) and Dana Evans(Jerry) along with six grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Zachary, Kelsey, Kaitlyn and Joshua and two sisters, Romona and Brenda. Funeral services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 2 PM. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 PM..
Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
