Oddis Williamson

Oddis Lloyd Williamson, a native of Greenville, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully in his sleep Thursday, May 29, 2014. He boldly and courageously fought his battle, never losing his spirit or faith. He retired from International Paper Company and was an active member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church since 1975. One of his greatest joys in life was supporting his grandchildren in all their extracurricular activities. Lloyd is survived by Judy, his wife of 50 years two children, Darlene Ron Twilley and Julie Williams four grandchildren, Alexandra and Austin Twilley and Courtney and Gracie Williams two brothers, Floyd Louise Williamson and Wayne Williamson, and one sister, Katherine Courtney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cam and Maggie Williamson. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, 36619. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 12:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to College Hill Baptist Church, 4255 Cottage Hill Road, Mobile, AL 36609.
