Patricia Edmonds Carr, 70, a native of Pine Hill, AL and resident of Semmes, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring family on June, 27 2016. Pat also known as Patsy was one special lady to say the least. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and former member of Shelton Beach Rd Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in many church activities and summer camp trips. She was a school bus driver for Stewart Bus Service and eventually went on to be employed by Mobile County Public School System for over 25 years driving to Orchard Elementary and Hillsdale Middle School. She also worked at the family boat dealership, Carr's Marine with her beloved husband, M.C. and their only child, daughter, Michelle. She was like a mother to numerous nieces and nephews and loved each and every child that came into her life as if they were her own. She had a special way of showering all of us with terms of endearment and making us all feel special. If she ever called you "baby" or "sweetheart" you knew she meant it from the bottom of her heart. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Nettie Mae Jackson Edmonds, father, Obie Lee Edmonds, sisters Laura Mae Edmonds, Deborah E. Spencer and brother Daniel Paul Edmonds. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, M.C. Carr of Semmes, daughter Michelle Carr, of Mobile, sister Emma Lou (Buddy) Burkett of Gallatin, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to family friends Pam Havens and Carrie McLaney & Family for their love and support through this journey. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Gulf Coast Health and Rehab. Your level of care, kindness, and support has been an inspiration and cannot be conveyed in words.
Visitation will be Friday July, 1st from 5-8pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Service on Saturday July 2, at 10am and internment to follow immediately at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
