Patty Sue Hammond Kennedy

August 2, 1928 – June 8, 2019

Patty Sue Kennedy passed away peacefully on June 8, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeptha Thomas Hammond and Patty Gibbs Hammond; husband of 64 years, Roy Marvin Kennedy, Jr; Jeffrey Ladon (Kiley) Biggs; her precious great granddaughter, Lillie Grace La Fontaine. Patty Sue was born and raised in El Dorado, AR. She attended El Dorado High School and then continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, MO and the University of Louisana-Monroe, where she earned her degree in Medical Technology. She was a long time member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous committees and volunteered her time. She was also very active in the community, schools, garden club and various other civic organizations. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, bowling, traveling and playing bridge, but her greatest joy came from caring for her children, grandchildren and spending time with her many friends. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her daughters, Karel Suzan Kennedy Doggette and Lisa Anne Kennedy Miller; son, Roy Michael (Rita) Kennedy. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Kiley Suzan Doggette Biggs, Caroline Elizabeth Doggette (Ron) Bishop, Charles Leo (Jade) Miller, III, William Bradley Miller, Thomas Mason Miller, Courtney Nicole Kennedy (Taylor) La Fontaine, Roy Michael Kennedy, Jr and Britney Joy Barfield (Corey) Bryan; great grandchildren, Matthew Logan Biggs, Catherine Kennedy Bishop, Avery Elizabeth Bishop and Maddux Stephen La Fontaine. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
