Paul was Born on December 25, 1929 in Wesleyville, Kentucky. He was raised in, and attended school in Buena Vista, Ohio. He was previously a resident of Mansfield, Ohio but relocated to Mobile, AL in 1968. He passed away, at the age 90, on December 12, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama while surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm with Chapel Service following at 2:00pm. Shannon Richter of Bridge City, TX, Chad Richter of Richmond, TX, Heath Richter of Mobile, AL, Clint Richter of Atlanta, GA, Aaron Meadows of Mobile, AL, and Taylor Liles of Troy, AL will be serving as Pallbearers.
Paul proudly served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic and was a Korean War Veteran. He retired as a hard working, successful insurance agent with American General.
Paul was a loving, devoted husband for 68 years to the love of his life. He will be remembered for the love he shared with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a dedicated Christian and instilled those values in his children by teaching them the word of God and Salvation. He was passionate about Alabama football, especially when watching with his children. One of the family’s fondest memories was seeing the enjoyment he felt when teaching his grandchildren to swim. He and Eva enjoyed spending time with friends as they often played Canasta. They also had lunch with friends daily at the Coast Guard base. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Rebecca Liles; brothers, Oral Liles, James (Shirley) Liles, Danny (Sandra) Weaver; sisters, Violet (William) Lewis, Imogene (Waynard) Patton.
Paul is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva McCardle Liles; his children, Tonjia (Dennis) Richter, Paul (Diane) Liles 11, Sabrina (Eric) Walters, Marty (Olga) Liles; sisters, Kathryn (Clifford) Stafford, Sue (Wayne) Clipse; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
