Paul Mallette Jr

Dr. Paul N. Mallette Jr, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on December 21, 1942 to Paul Sr and Hilda (Sylvest) Mallette. He was a retired Principal, and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Paul graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Education. Paul then went on to graduate from Colorado State University in 1976 with a Phd in Philosophy. Paul married his wife Sandra Dantzler in 1972. For many years he worked as a principal at both Bryant and Faulkner vocational schools before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed football, boxing and spending quiet weekends at home with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Dantzler Mallette; along with two children; Elizabeth Mallette Christie (Jason), and Timothy Mallette; his grandchildren, Michael, David and Matthew Christie, his sisters, Jeanne Mallette Tapley and Becky Mallette Smith (Greg); nephews, Ben, Luke and Matthew Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald; brother-in-law, Norman Tapley Sr and nephew, Norman Tapley Jr.

A graveside service for Dr. Paul N. Mallette Jr will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mobile, Alabama. Visitation hours are Wednesday 9:00-10:00 a.m at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
