OUR LOVING MEMORIES
Paul Douglas Miller born August 27, 1965 in Louisville, Kentucky. Our Father in Heaven, promoted him on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, Mobile, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ora Jane Gander Miller. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Jennifer D. Miller, and son, Hunter Douglas, 22; two daughters, Alexandria Nicole, 19 and Victoria Bailey, 16.
He is also survived by his father, James Miller of Fremont, California, two sisters, Carmen Bailey of New York, Christine Ball of California; four nieces, Jessica Breslin of New York, Lauren Bailey of Vermont, Robin and Holly Suarez of California, two young great-nephews Malcom and Abel.
Paul was compassionately devoted to his wife, Jennifer, referring to her as his "cuddle bear" and his children "One, Two and Three" this was a loving way to get their attention rather than to call them by name. The family always a Top Priority. Paul a second generation, Eagle Scout, participated with Hunter and his troop earning third generation Eagle Scout. He adored his daughters, Alexandria and Victoria, watching their dance and music performances.
Paul passed on an education legacy to his children on how important it is to finish college, get a good job to provide for you and your family.
Paul, after graduating from high school in New York relocated to Southern California. He met the love of his life, Jennifer, their first fall semester at Cal Poly Pomona, California. He received his Bachelor Degree Industrial Engineering. After graduation, he and Jennifer married, February 11, 1989.
Paul was an instructor for Kepnor Tregoe which implemented problem solving and decision making skills. He used this knowledge not only in his work environment but also in his everyday personal life. He received one of the highest certifications in the engineering world "Lean Six Sigma Black Belt" from Georgia Tech which uses a set of techniques and tools for process improvement. He used this knowledge in improving the quality of roofing materials.
During his career after college he received numerous team achievement awards for various projects throughout his 5 years at ITT Aero Space Controls and his 22 years at G.A.F. Materials.He was an amazing husband, father to his 3 children, friend to many and just an all-around GREAT guy. He would connect on a work and personal level to many.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal"…Paul you are so dearly loved, your memory will forever linger in our hearts.
